and again

Ιnspired by 'Invisible Cities' of Italo Calvino, the old city of Chania and the soundscapes designed by Niovi Kitsiou, Visible Cities#1, is a site-specific performance on the go which explores the nature of relationships. By using different sources of sound like headphones, or designing the space with sound installation via a surround soundscape, the audience is invited to experience different levels of intimacy with the performers in the old city of Chania. The dancers are in a constant process of building up a movement material and a relationship among them and letting it go; a repetition of accumulation and dissipation, of building up a relationship, giving it up and creating a new one.
