Reflection on the Score #
I worked on the score with one of my colleagues and beloved friend, Fernanda.
Both of us activated it. While the one was activating the score the other one was observing her and was keeping notes (words and drawings).
There was not camera after Fernada’s desire as she felt that camera would affect her movement and thoughts.
There wasn’t music neither. Below are some notes that I wrote based on our final discussion, after both of use had activated the score.
Dance.
Fernanda: You move to understand yourself, what you need. However, both dance and words feed each other. Words bring different kind of movement. Movement brings different words.
Maria: I saw a quality on your body to change gradually. You started to become more aware of what you were doing. Like speaking out your thoughts while you’re moving, it made you to become more aware of what your body needs through listening.
Finally, what I find important concerning this score is that the practitioner can take the written notes and based on them she can compose her own scores which will constitute part of her warm-up
