COLab. Workshop is coming to Amsterdam!
10-14 JUNE
This workshop is designed to create a space where practice, research, and performance come together. It is an opportunity for curious creatures and lovers of improvisation to immerse
themseves in a creative and intensive five days of sharing, exchanging, learning, and performing.
CoLAB was conceived and created by Athens intensive and Melina Koulia 2 years ago in Athens, and has grown into a space where artists meet, exchange, and experiment through improvisation.
We’re excited to bring this collective experience to Amsterdam!
Sofia Garcia Miramon, Melina Koulia, Maria Mavridou and Maria Pisiou are our facilitators for the first edition of CoLAB in Amsterdam!
By focusing on collaboration and diversity, we aim to create a shared artistic work—an immersive experience that celebrates improvisation and the uniqueness of moving, sensing, relating, playing, and getting confused together!
Over the course of five days, we engage with different approaches to improvisation, while practicing creation and composition in the here and now.
Each day is guided by a different artist, bringing their own perspective and long-term experience in improvisation and instant composition. Facilitators and
participants become one team, where we learn, exchange, and practice together. The facilitators will be actively participating every day.
This collaborative environment encourages participants to experiment, develop their own creative voice and movement vocabulary, while expanding their tools for creating instant composition performances.
The workshop ends with a collective performance, where participants and facilitators bring their experience into a shared composition.
